ORCHARD FORAGE COCKTAIL

This delicious cocktail comes from Slane Distillery in Co Meath and was created by lead mixologist Barry Farrell. It uses Foamee to create a frothy top, but you could use another egg-free replacement or egg white instead if you prefer. Full of cosy flavours, this cocktail would be perfect enjoyed by the fire

WHAT YOU NEED

Crushed ice

50ml Slane Irish Whiskey Extra Sherry Wood

25ml apple liqueur 

10ml cinnamon syrup

½ fresh lime, squeezed

100ml Cockagee Pressed Apple Juice

3 drops Foamee

Dehydrated apple slice and ground cinnamon, to garnish

WHAT YOU DO

Step 1. Collect your equipment. You’ll need a cocktail shaker, hawthorn strainer, juice squeezer, jigger and bar mixing spoon and muddler.
Step 2. Half fill the cocktail shaker with ice, then add the rest of the ingredients, excluding garnish.

Step 3. Fill a glass with ice, then shake the mix for 20 seconds.

Step 4. Strain the cocktail into your ice-filled glass, then garnish with dehydrated apple and a dusting of cinnamon.
