DOMINI KEMP'S CRÈME DE VIE 

 

Cook the cover of our December 2023 issue with Domini Kemp's delicious crème de vie (Cuban eggnog) recipe

WHAT YOU NEED

100g caster sugar
150ml water
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
6 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
200ml rum

WHAT YOU DO

Step 1. Heat the sugar and water over a low heat until the sugar dissolves.

Step 2. In a blender, blitz the milk and egg yolks. Pour in the rest of the ingredients, making sure the sugar syrup is not boiling. Taste, chill, and serve with a dust of cinnamon or grated nutmeg.
